What we share with others
We share information with third parties who help us provide our orders and store services to you but will never sell, or rent your personal details to any third party marketing companies for any reason.
We accept payments through PayPal (offline), the ANZ Merchant eCommerce Gateway and Afterpay. When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to these companies, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

A note about abandoned shopping carts
In the event that you do enter personal information on our website, AND you add items to a shopping cart but don’t proceed to purchase them, we may email you with a message to remind you about the items you’ve left. We may offer you a discount coupon to encourage you to complete your purchase. Your personal information will then be held securely in our database. We offer this as a service to you as we understand that sometimes we can have the best intention to complete a purchase but then get distracted … squirrel.
A note about cookies
(and we’re not talking about vegan, gluten free, low sugar ones).
As you browse the Waste Not Want Not website, advertising cookies will be placed on your computer so that we can understand what you are interested in, and what you have look at on our website. Our advertising partners (Google and Facebook) then enable us to present you advertising as you visit Facebook and surf the internet based on your interactions with us. This is a standard marketing technique which results in those ads that seem to magically follow you around the internet and cause you to maybe think that the universe is totally telling to “buy that thing”. Sadly it isn’t a message from the universe but us reminding you that “the really cool thing you looked at during your last visit is still here and we’d love you to consider buying it”. Never fear, this marketing technique doesn’t collect personal information (eg name, email, address, or phone) and you can always visit Google’s cookie program, or this link to opt out of other advertising partners’ targeted advertising.
A note about comments and testimonials left on our site
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
A note about how long we retain information for
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (eg to purchase an item), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
